Making a difference: How Arctic Shores is supporting two new charities this October - We did well!
Thank you so much to all the Explorers who participated in our charity events across October, and to everyone who supported us. I just wanted to share an update on what we achieved over the last month.
There were a fantastic number of clothing donations for Smart Works that will help women across London and Manchester feel good in interviews and hopefully land jobs!
For the Lost Hours Walk we absolutely smashed our walking target of John O’Groats to Land’s End, finishing on 1489.44km versus a target of 1307km (meaning we even started walking the Channel!). A big shoutout and thank you to Joel, Marije and Josh, who all walked over 80km each… there was also a phenomenal effort by Andromachie who walked a whopping 99km!
I’m pleased to report that we have raised a total of £650 for CALM! It costs £8 for CALM to answer a call from a person struggling with their mental health, meaning that money we’ve raised has the potential to help around 81 people. To put that in context, that's nearly the entirety of Arctic Shores' Explorers - which is incredible to think about.
Thank you again to everyone who got involved and supported us along the way, we really appreciate it. I particularly enjoyed seeing Explorers get out in nature and share some gorgeous autumnal pictures.
Thank you again and keep your eyes peeled for more charity events in the new year.
