Business Development Manager
We’re Arctic Shores
We are a technology company that's redefining the way recruitment is done and we're looking for a Business Development Manager to join our revenue growth team.
You'll join a team that's as driven as they are kind, focusing on one shared mission – to make hiring fairer, faster and (frankly) better. Dream of making a difference? You’ll be in good company.
Our company exists to give candidates of all backgrounds fair, equal access to the opportunities they'd otherwise miss. So far, we’ve helped almost 3m candidates land exactly where they should be. Help us take it further. And....we’re on a mission to give every individual the opportunity to show their potential, and every employer the means to see it. All with the next frontier of psychometric assessments.
You love building relationships with new people.
You can confidently influence conversations with a range of people in varying situations.
You are an explorer. You seek out new information and learn quickly through curiosity and agile learning. You quickly work out what is relevant. And what is not.
You love nothing more than being set a target. And then exceeding it.
You are proactive and live up to the promises and commitments you make.
You are resilient, calm, and adapt well to change.
Does this sound like you or someone you know? If so, then we might have the perfect opportunity for you.
We are looking for an ambitious and driven individual with a passion for learning. Ideally, you will be interested in psychology and you might already have had some experience in a customer-facing or a sales role.
But we’re less interested in your experience and very interested in your potential.
We’ll provide the training to help unleash your potential and open the door to a career in sales and a pathway to a future promotion to an Account Executive.
The role
You’ll be;
dealing with enquiries from Talent Acquisition teams interested in learning more about our pioneering task-based psychometric assessments.
exploring their business challenges and explaining how we can transform an organisation's recruitment process to uncover new talent and improve diversity and social mobility.
listening to and leading conversations on the business advantages of doing this - such as broadening talent pools, saving time and money from a more effective process and providing a better candidate experience.
educating prospective customers on the unique way we use cognitive neuroscience, psychology, and data science to deliver outstanding results.
attending events and supporting outbound sales campaigns to our target sectors and markets.
researching, preparing, securing, and preparing initial calls with potential customers using LinkedIn, email, phone and in person at events.
doing all of this with prospective new customers and our existing customers to identify and secure additional opportunities to work with them
You will be coached by our VP of Sales and before you know it - you will be running and leading customer discovery calls to gather the information and determine if there is a sales opportunity. Once you have mastered that, you will be trained and supported to take new opportunities through the entire sales process turning prospects into new customers and existing customers into even bigger customers.
We are a tight and close team and working well within a team and across the Growth function (sales, marketing and customer teams) is essential to success in the role.
Our values make us who we are:
Make a difference - We can’t change everything. But we can contribute to a world of work that’s truly fair and inclusive, and do our bit to build a better society.
Grow together - We invest in our ability, learn from our setbacks, and always celebrate the people behind our progress. By growing together, we go further.
Explore, always - Changing the way the world sees potential takes curiosity, drive, and bravery. With that explorer’s spirit, we break new ground.

Applying for the role
We won’t be asking for your CV for this role. Why? Because your potential can’t be packed into a side of A4. To get to know you – the real you – we’ll ask you to complete our UNA assessment instead. This gives us a much better feel for how you’ll fit into the role, taking into account all the qualities that make you, you.
If you’ve got any questions about the process at all, we’re all ears!
How to use GenAI in the application stage
We value authenticity and want to understand who you are, your experiences, and what you bring to the table. We therefore welcome the use of GenAI to polish your narrative, brainstorm ideas and structure your thoughts, but ensure the final application reflects your personal journey and skills.
For example;
Ask GenAI to provide examples of how to describe leadership experiences, then personalise these examples with your own stories.
If the form asks you a question about a time when you overcame a difficult problem, create a shortlist of problems and write down what you would say. Then ask ChatGPT to help you bring the story to life more articulately or to give you a better analogy for something you want to say.
Leverage GenAI for grammar and spelling checks to polish your application.
Remember, the goal of using GenAI in your job application is to augment your natural abilities and showcase your best self. It's not about creating a persona that isn't you.
Equal Opportunities
At Arctic Shores, giving people a fair chance is what we do, that's why we take equal opportunities seriously. We welcome people of any background, gender identification, race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, ability level, age, size, or marital status.
Because we’re committed to giving everyone their fair shot, we’re happy to accommodate any reasonable adjustments you may need. Just let us know.
The closing date for applications (this includes completing the assessment) is Sunday 5th May 2024.
