Cognitive Scientist
At Arctic Shores, we’re on a mission to give every individual the opportunity to show their potential, and every employer the means to see it. All with our Talent Discovery Platform – UNA.
We’re fuelled by over 80 explorers, drawn from all corners of the world. What unites us all is a belief that human potential – in all its forms – is genuinely worth knowing, and worth celebrating. Wouldn’t you agree?
We’re growing, and are looking for someone analytical, innovative and organised to join our growing team of product professionals!
The Cognitive Scientist role sits within the psychometrics team, as part of the Product function. The Product function collectively consists of a number of highly skilled and agile product professionals spanning the disciplines of Product Management, Experience Design and Psychometrics. Collectively, this function brings together its knowledge of emerging trends, the competitor landscape and both customer and user needs in collaboration with the other business functions to identify and bring innovative, market leading recruitment assessment and selection products and features to market.
The Psychometrics team consists of professionals spanning the disciplines of Applied Psychology, Cognitive Science, Psychometrics and Data Science. Collectively, this team brings together its knowledge of psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience and data science to deliver the psychometric elements of our market leading assessment and selection products.
As a cognitive scientist you will contribute to the formulation and validation of the scientific content of our psychometric assessments. You will be a subject matter expert in cognitive science and ensure that we achieve psychological construct measurement that is consistently scientifically credible, robust, and innovative. You will work across a breadth of product features, and across multiple teams representing the psychometric assessment function.
Applying for the role
We won’t be asking for your CV for this role. Why? Because your potential can’t be packed into a side of A4. To get to know you – the real you – we’ll ask you to complete few simple questions (to better understand your experience, expectations and motivations) and our unique task based assessment (to identify your natural strengths and preferences). This gives us a much better feel for how you’ll fit into the role, taking into account all the qualities that make you, you.
Our assessment doesn’t take long, and you’ll get instant feedback into your qualities once you’re done. You’ll receive feedback regardless of whether you proceed with your application – a little thank you from us, for taking the time to apply. Use it to learn a little more about yourself, and to inform the next steps in your career.
Closing date for applications (this includes submitting your answers to our questions and completing the assessment) is Sunday 14th August 2022.
We'll be holding 1st stage video interviews w/c 22nd August 2022 and final interviews (this stage will include a presentation that we would like candidates to prepare prior and deliver within the interview) w/c 29th August & 5th September 2022
If you’ve got any questions about the process at all, we’re all ears!
Here's what we'd like you to do:
